The Music for NOA

NOA is an award winning short film by Venezuelan Director Angel Barroeta. The film tells the
spiritual journey of a desperate young woman in a dystopian and chaotic society, Noa, the main
character, must dive deep into the dark side of humanity to save her future. The music I wrote
for NOA was inspired in part by the classical synth score for the film Blade Runner, the score
uses dark evolving analog synthesizers, and the music cues are sparse and at times atonal and
tense, building toward as emotional and almost magic resolution with the final cue, “Libertad.”
