Every film composer will at some point in his/her career write music for a project that was never released or it was simply rejected by the director/producers. Often times, it is music the composer cherishes and believes to be particularly good. The Artist was an independent feature film that told the story of a gifted young man in a small desert town in California, troubled as mosts artists, he was frequently ostracized and obsessed with escaping the mundanity of life in a small community. Sadly this film was never released, but I thought the film was beautifully shot and unique, telling a story that has been told many times before, but in an innovative and creative way.
I wrote the music to mimic the main character, wild and multi talented, the score draws from many musical styles and influences, mixing, rock, techno and electronics with orchestral elements and epics sonorities
