Orchestral Emotional and Dark
The majority of these compositions were written for dramatic films productions and feature the
orchestra as the principal aural medium to create intense, haunting, and deeply unsettling
soundscapes. The music features a predominance of low-frequency instruments such as cellos,
double basses, and bass synths. Melodic and emotive ideas mix at times with irregular rhythms
to create an atmosphere of emotional turmoil. These compositions seek to portray an overall
sense of tension and emotion, capturing the cinematic themes of trauma, grief, and loss. More
than anything else, I wrote these pieces to communicate the emotion of the characters and their
struggles.
