Like most of my music, these pieces were written for film and TV, and although they cover a
wide range of styles and musical instruments, the unifying character is the use of piano, strings
orchestra and hybrid sonorities to create an emotive soundscape that borrows from classical
traditions while also incorporating modern influences and sonorities. Many of these pieces mix
synths and electronics with the traditional sounds of an orchestra, with the piano or an acoustic
guitar in charge of presenting the melody. Stylistically, many of these pieces can be described as
minimalist, but the moving force behind most of these works is the emotion and sonic fabric
created by using layers of acoustic instruments mixed with unusual sounds
