Dreamy Orchestral Textures
The String Orchestra is the main force behind these compositions, but the piano, acoustic guitar and synths also feature prominently. I wrote these compositions for diverse film projects, many in the “drama” and “love”genres, the music is melodic, emotive and heartfelt, often seeking to convey the emotions and thoughts of the characters on screen. Although these works have been influenced by various styles and some of my favorite film music, most of the compositions are minimalist in nature, allowing the strings and the piano to carry the thematic material and letting the melody guide the listener and the viewer. This category contains some of the music I am most proud to have created as a composer, it is harmonically simple in many ways and the orchestral arrangements are relatively sparse, but the music is honest, melodic, emotional, and often times “dreamy” as well, like a good love story.
